Today on RÚV English Radio, a double episode for your day off.

First up today, Darren is at the Nordic House to see the experiments, researches and mini models, showing houses of the future, seen through the eyes of ten-year-old children. You can see the work of the students of Hólabrekkuskóli, in a project (https://nordichouse.is/en/event/architecture-alvar-and-the-city/) partly inspired by the structure of Reykjavík district Breiðholt, but also the design of Alvar Aalto, who is the architect of the Nordic House.

Then it's off to Garðabær for another visit to the town's Museum of Design and Applied Art, where the residency of goldsmith Marta Staworowska (https://www.honnunarsafn.is/en/vidburdir/marta-staworowska-goldsmith) is drawing to a close.
